Nothing to fo with culture in Poland. They just see what is happening in other countries and they don't want the same thing happening there.

I also don't believe that the purpose of destroying religion is to allow your own to thrive. France is a secular country. No child is allowed to wear any religious symbol to school. That is because the founders of secular societies understood just how dangerous religion is, and it also prevented people from being able to judge reality accurately.

I don't understand your last sentence - that politicians won't take action against religion because religion is a good scapegoat.

My suspicion is that they wrongly respect the idea of relgious freedom and have never thought about it in any depth. Non-thinkers normally do not challenge what they have been indoctrinated into believing.
