The Trump Character vs Those of Good, Strong Character
A good country is built on good character. Politicians seem to have collectively bad characters. Trump is only one example.
Today, to be highly thought of in the west, one must have money, power, and status. The more one has of these, the more one is elevated. Look at Trump — a man of low moral fiber, but nevertheless he garnered enough votes at the last election to win the presidency.
The composition of good character
People have long forgotten what good character is. Remnants of it remains. However these remnants are separated from their foundations, and so they are no longer part of good character so much as part of an irrational madness.
And example of that might be all the talk of empathy. We are now in a place where some have labeled various aspects of empathy as suicidal empathy or dangerous empathy. Trump, I suppose, has empathy for Putin. I would call that a dangerous empathy — a suicidal empathy.
Another would be the Jihadi in Gaza where, until these last few months, the majority of Gazans fully supported the destruction of Israel and the murder of all Jews everywhere. The fact that so many support these people is an indication of a loss…
