The top earners don't have time for that. They earn based on the power of their writing. Readers i.e. not writers, read their work. These people only read. In fact, if you get 1 clap from someone, they're a reader. Only writers give 50 claps.

I definitely view payment as success. I am, of course, continually blessed with stunning reviews. And that feels good. However, I need to earn a livign. I write in order to earn money. So do all the professional writers on this site.
