The Slaying of Charlie Kirk Crossed a Line

Yesterday, I went through social media (Tik Tok), as well as news publications from India, China, Europe, the UK, and Ireland, plus the many voices of both liberals and conservatives in the States. I wanted to know what people thought of the assassination of Charlie Kirk for encouraging debate and expressing his opinions.

Along with Konstantin Tisin, I believe that a line was crossed on Wednesday and we are now living in a very different world with very different rules, one that can bring about the final fall of democracy.

It wasn’t the assassination itself that brought the shock — it was the glee expressed by so many on the far left. It was a bridge too far for decent people. The line crossed was not the actual assassination — it was the vile joy expressed by so many.
