The reason that business gives for paying the owner's a much higher salary than workers and for being able to have profits from the business is because they take the risk and are faced with the loss.
Nowhere does that reasoning include the idea that if the loss wasn't the fault of the owner then the government should bail them out.
Sorry, it doesn't work that way.
Also, business continually strives to pay less and less tax, but when it comes to being bailed out, it takes the lion's share of the money available.
It is absolutely and uttlerly a double standard to insist otherwise.
The point of my article is that they should go bankrupt. They took the risk, didn't they, and they received the high dividends and lived smartly while the business was successfully.
I also have to say that it becomes difficult to take someone seriously when they are somewhat semi-literate. If they cannot ascertain the difference between they're, there, and their or it's and its, how much more difficult would it be for them to understand ethics, the law, and the role that business plays in society.
Let me correct you here.
"Here in the US, THERE are tens of thousands..."
mom & pop BUSINESSES.
for no fault of THEIR own.
believe IT'S GOVERNMENT'S job
IT'S also much better
Lastly. let's talk about the economy. The business is not the economy, although people have come to associate business with the economy. An economy is the means of production and distribution. These days, it's mostly business that does the production and distribution, but in some countries, it has been the state. If it was mandatory for people to work without pay for 20 hours per week to produce what was needed for the community, and then the community allowed them to take whatever they needed from what was produced, that would also be an economy.
As you have just noticed from the pandemic (and the recent cold weather in Texas), there are some things that business is simply awful at. That's because business does not look after the greater good of humanity. It is strictly there for the profit of the owners. So wind turbines are made not to cope with extreme weather (despite climate change), and Trump outlaws the pandemic department because it's not profitable. Never put a businessman in charge of government.
Government is there for the good of the people, business is there for the good of the owner. These are very different things.
