The process of socialisation is actively indoctrinating the brain to behave in such a way that it does not harm society.

This is what religion and manners do. When people are taught from very young that they mustn't spit in people's faces, or kick someone else's shin, it lasts for a lifetime. Education does the same. It 'forms' people to behave as society and educators want them to.
