The fight about privacy has nothign to do with leaving doors and windows open. The fight is about companies like Facebook using information from its subscribers to target them with advertising.
It has absolutely nothing to do with anything else.
I haven't had sex for 35 years. I haven't had a man in my life for that long either. I dont' care if people see me naked. So what. I have never used a sex toy and never will. I haven't had a boss for 25 years, and they are the ones who had the secrets - constantly sexually harrassing me which is why I walked out and will never work for anyone else again.
I read your link. "A private matter is something one doesn't want the whole world to know, but a secret matter is something one doesn't want anybody to know. Privacy is the power to selectively reveal oneself to the world."
Again, nobody is photographing you in your bedroom. The fight about privacy is about what social media is doing - selling information they gain through people posting it on websites. It's hardly private if they feel free to post it.
