The British monarchy lost its power in the 17th century. They are not allowed to interfere or intervene in political matters. Any sign that they do means that the monarchy can be removed. Ergo. Elizabeth II was not permitted any say whatsoever in colonialism.

However, the British aristocracy did have power until recently. That power can via the House of Lords.

Elizabeth II had absolutely nothing to do with political events.
