The book is a criticism of current Christian understanding, and the market is America - not Pakistan. Why on earth would I write for people in Asia? I am living in the west. My market is America. That is who I write for.
Surely there are people in Asia who can do that sort of thing for their own people?
Yes, of course, I am only speaking about the aggressive verses in the Koran. In view of international Islamic terrorism, even in countries where they are the immigrants, those verses are relevant.
Why should France, a secular society that has outlawed all religion, bow to the dictates of Islam? Freedom of religion does not mean the freedom to impose that religion on other people. Nor does it mean the freedom to change the laws of the country.
There is a story in Judaism - it is that Mohammed went to the Jews to ask them to start a new religion with him, because there was a lot of money to be made from religion (as any of the rich Christian pastors will tell you). They declined. So he started one on his own.
It's been done, often enough. The book of Mormon was written by Joseph Smith who claimed an angel wrote it. And so on, and so forth.
What was the reason for the Ottoman Empire? It was driven by the command that all should be converted to Islam. The same sort of barbarism goes into Christianity - that one must convert others in order to be accepted into the kingdom of god.
Just as I had to translate the German, I am sure that you can find the studies that support that claims I have made about atheism. I don't have the time or the inclination - sorry, but I'm old and tired. And arguing religion is not my favorite past time. Been there, done that.
However, here's one of those statistics.

Here's another one.
And here's another one.
My late father spoke 11 languages, had an IQ of 185, had degrees in law, engineering, and journalism, plus, throughout his life was either president or chairman of the engineering and astronomical societies. He witnessed the first rocket experiments in Germany pre-war, attended both the first television fair in Germany in 1929 and the 50th one in Paris in 1979 (I think I have those years right - he was on French television for it), and he was at Einstein's good-bye speech at the Berlin shul when Einstein had to leave Germany.
Likewise, he was an atheist. You reach that conclusion when you've looked at all the facts. He was a man of excellent character.
Have I met any Muslims of excellent character? Of course, I have. Jews? Absolutely? Christians? Um. Not so much. Of course, I haven't met everybody - none of us do. We read widely, travel widely, experience many different cultures, and when we are old, as I am now, we spend our last years putting it all together.
