The American 'ideas' come straight from a book called 'The Social Contract' written by Jean Jacques Rousseau in 1762. As there were no democracies up to that point, I'm confused as to where the founding fathers got the idea that a straight democracy didn't work. The UK (British Empire) hada representative democracy before the US did.

What I'ms aying here is that America was not the initiator of any of these ideas. They call come from Europe, and they were established in Europe before they got to America.
