That's what sub-titles are for. People can scan the sub-titles to see what is covered and decide whether they want to read or not

As I write to earn a living, I stick by professional rules. I also endavour to stick to good SEO. Google does not like bold formatting. They downgrade it. Generally titles and sub-titles automatically go into H1 and H2 tags. If you have emboldened something in order to draw attention, and it's not in an H1 or H2 tag, Google recognizes that and it won't rank you on the SERPS.

I feel sorry for people who scan and skim. They miss out on important points. No wonder there are so many people out there with half-baked ideas.

Generally people do read my entire articles. And I don't embolden anything. Feel free to check. If they don't, not my business. But I'm not writing in a way that screws up my record with Google.

Please feel free to do whatever you like. It's not my business. I write the articles on writing - not to teach people to write - but to correct all the other bullarkey out there.
