That's a really interesting figure, and I'm pretty sure that in order to arrive at that rediculous figure, they included income from people like Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos. Otherwise, it has to be a load of nonsense.

I'm partially South African. The average income there is $4,170 per year. My own monthly income (besides what I get from writing on Medium, etc) is $2400 per year. I'm 70 years old in a few weeks. I have been taking that home for about the past 8 years, and before that not even that. If my daughter and sister didn't help me, I would be out on the street.
In South Africa, that average figure is not a realistic reflection for the simple reason that the top 1% are added in, and South Africa is the most unequal country in the world.
A great many people only earn $1683 per annum.
When you look at the billions of people
According to the world bank, the average income internationally is $10,298. To quote from the article below:
Per capita annual incomes worldwide range from $280 in Burundi to $82,230 in Norway, with the U.S. in between at $56,180.

So now that that's out of the way, I wasn't sure who you were talking to. Me, or everybody in general.
