That would depend on how you wanted to define intelligence, doesn't it. I don't buy into the garbage that there is emotional intelligence or that a singing talent can be classified as intelligence.
For IQ tests, they all aim to measure your ability to work out problems. It is measuring reasoning and problem solving ability.
The first test your brother did used a lot of skills one learned. I got 165 on that one. The second one that takes all day is suitable for all people even if they haven't learn't how spatial diagrams, etc work. I was given 5 or more hours to do it. I was told I was off the graph. I did it in 90 minutes.
In all of that, I would have preferred to do a trade.
