That might be true. I cannot actually tell you whether I've seen one or not. I do know that I've wondered through modern art museum and not a single thing has said anything to me.
Be that as it may, I find Salvidor Dali's paintings amazing, and I don't actually have to stand in front of them. On the other hand, I couldn't for the life of me see what was so stunning about the Mona Lisa when I saw it in the Louvre. The painting next to it was much better - although I forget what it was.
Essentially, most super large paintings catch more attention than smaller paintings. I've noticed that to when wondering through art galleries.
Because I cannot recall whether I've actually seen a Jackson Pollock in real life or not, I can't comment further. I can say that I consider anything abstract to be juvenile.
