That might be true. I'm not sure of the exact causes of it, but I do think it's cultural, and it's not universal to women everywhere.

Do you think that younger women in America are less concerned with their appearance? I would definitely say that in Germany I was stunned at how little attention women paid to their looks. I'm not sure whether this is a shift in cultural perception or whether it's always been like that.
