That is the biggest load of codswallop out. If it isn't possible to have objective journalism, then it isn't possible to have objective science either.
The problem with modern journalism is that journalist students have not been taught to write strictly what is.
For example:
"Yesterday was a cold day in England" is subjective. "Yesterday, the temperature in England ranged from 3 degrees Celsius in the north to 7 degrees in the south. Scattered throughout the country, were pockets of warmth reaching 9 degrees. The norht of Scotland saw drops to minus 1 degree."
This last is an objective statement. The changes came in 1980.
