That is complete and utter rubbish. if Medium paid 53% of its subscribers $100,000 per month, the company would be so far into bankruptcy that even Evan Williams, the owner billionaire would think twice.

According the Tony Stubblebine, the current CEO, we have reached 1 million subscribers. That would mean 530,000 subscribers earning $100,000 per month would mean that Medium is paying out $53 billion to those subscribers.

Nor are there 100 million active users on Medium monthly. We have only just reached 1 million subscribers.

For what it's worth, Medium's private information is not made public, so anyone writing about is is simply guessing.
