That is certainly an option, but as the first houses were first built in the Palisades about 180 years ago, that is hardly an option in 20214. Leadership today would have to figure out the best options for today, and those were never considered. No protection was provided by the current leaders. And there should have been. It's not rocket science.

Climate change has already reached the point of no return. The leaders should be focused on climate adaptation, i.e. preparing for the disasters, and they didn't.

Holding a position in a company or in a government does not make one a leader.
