…ut the winners. I’m not interested in the optics of what I say here, so I’ll just come out with it: I found the winning essay to be long winded, meandering and flat out boring. After a few minutes of reading I started skimming, then scrolling, and at that point all I could think was “Jesus, when does this ever end?”
