Sorry, you're flat our wrong.
More women are going to college in America because there it is actively encouraged. The problem is that more men aren't going to college, and I'm not quite sure why.
In the 50s, only about 10% of people went to college. The baby boomer generation certainly didn't go to college. There were a lot of jobs in manufacturing and industry which didn't require college, and because there were Unions, they were well paid.
Progressives don't have the power to do any defining. In America, they're a small percentage - about 5%.
The outcomes you see now result from neoliberalism introduced by Thatcher and Reagan. Both countries have gone to hell in a handbasket. Do you ever read Umair Haque on Medium? You should.
I most certainly wouldn't date someone who owns a business (they're short-sighted and generally unintelligent), or who wasn't educated to about Ph.D level. Of course, I'm well aware that there are high-school graduates who are well educated and highly intelligent, but they are the exception - not the rule.
You're wrong that women made headway through sex. A handful, maybe. To most of us, it is simply too distasteful.
Religion makes women second class citizens because it says that they must obey men. And that sin evovled from them. If you don't believe that, I suggest you read your bible from beginning to end. Women have been second class citizens for more than 2000 years. And corporations didn't exist then.
