Sorry, I disagree with you.

The rich could not be rich if we did not buy all those products. Walmart owners are excessively rich. Why? Because people buy bs from Walmart. Apple shareholders are excessively rich because ordinary people buy Apple phones and laptops. And so on and so forth.

The minute consumerism stops, many things change. If people stop buying cars and use public transport, the owners of company like Ford, General Motors, BMW, Toyota go bankrupt.

Getting average people to stop shopping will make en enormous difference because it will stop feeding the rich who produce all the products.

The biggest causes of of climate change are the production and manufacturing of products and the consumerism attached.

Yes, the rich may consume more of hte products, but why not bankrupt the producers?

I see no worth in sharing our experiences, etc. There is no tangible outcome for millennia. They are transitory actions, and the only meaning they have is momentary. Saving this planet for millions of different species to continue to live has more than momentary meaning.
