Slavery: What Do You Believe?

Slavery has been a hot topic for a while now, so I thought it was time to trace the history of slavery. Western Europe never had a history of slavery, while Africa has had slavery for thousands of years. The bible, that book of myths, speaks of slavery being alive and well in Egypt at least three thousand years ago.
I’m going to include several videos in this piece, and I’m going to quote extensively. That’s because it is not often acknowledged that Africans sold other Africans into slavery. Nor is it acknowledged that Europeans came very late to slavery — only a small number of European slavers bought slaves from Africans, and then sold them to Americans. There was no actual slavery in Europe.
Reparation is often spoken about, and as it happens, Europeans would benefit far more as, apparently, there were far more Europeans taken into slavery by North African pirates than there were Africans sold into slavery in America.
Robert Davis estimated that between 1 and 1.25 million Europeans were captured by pirates and sold as slaves in Tunis, Algiers and Tripoli during this time period. The slave trade in Europeans in other parts of the Mediterranean is not included in this estimation. Barbary Slave Trade
