Sherry, I am one of those people who don't read personal essays. You are the only one I read. I don't read in order to learn something from someone else. I truly doubt that anyone has anything to teach me.

When I read you, it's pure entertainment. You have a way of saying things!! :)

Generally, when I read, I want expert information. I was one of many who told Tony (when he came onboard) that the reading standard had gone down. I have been on Medium from day one, even though I didn't pay until recently.

So I must apologise. I didn't mention personal essays because I didn't realize they existed.

We look at earnings differently. I find writing so easy, and I put in a few hours per day. So I don't see it as hard work. I consider myself to be extremely lucky to be paid at all.

As you know, I don't think I can earn enough money here to live without worry, so I am spreading my net elsewhere. It worries the hell out if me. But then, I have always been incredibly hopeless at earning.
