Sherrel, that's not how writing works. I've been published and paid for for 60 years on three continets. My name is in predictive text on Google, plus I have a Google panel, and my books have a 4.7 star rating on Goodreads.

When one writes, one writes for money. It's a job. It's an income. You don't pay your dentist because you want other dentists to be paid. You don't pay your grocer because you want other grocers to be paid.

I'm pretty sure that most of that $10 per month fee does not go to readers, but is, in fact, profit for the owners. I think that because I've been published on the web for 22 years, and I know what the figures are. I'm also an ex webdesigner and SEO writer, so I've worked in Web media professionally.

I don't think $10 is a small fee if I get nothing for it. I am willing to pay $5 on Medium because I earn between three figures and four figures every month. I just don't see that happening on Vocal Media for being paid on the number of views, especially as one is expected to get one's own traffic.
