Russel, with respect, wood is the worst possible housing material in the world. It has bad insulation. It blows down in a hurricane. It burns easily. I cannot think of a worst material.

Having lived in brick and stone housing througout my life, with the exception of the USA, I cannot understand why you would think that wood housing would be the material of choice.
