Rant: Apolitical? Maverick? Atheist?

And other claims I make.

A beautiful shot I took on beach in Mexico somewhere.

It seems that there is some confusion about my bio. I’m not quite sure what the big issue is, but I seem to have caused some pique over it. So I thought I’d give some explanations.

Politics

To be apolitical means not to belong to any particular political party or movement. I don’t. I’m interested in where the world is going. I’m interested in government. However, I have no interested in American, British, German, Irish, or any other political party on this planet.

Yes, of course, I side with some issues and don’t side with other issues. That doesn’t mean I’m political. I support the war in Israel. I do not support the war in Ukraine. I have very good reasons for that. I used to write a myriad articles about stopping climate change. Three years ago, I realized it was here, and there was nothing more to be done. I stopped writing about it.

I go with nuclear power stations, not green energy. I support public transport, not electric cars, or any personal ownership of cars. I think business has far too much power, and I think no business should be more than local. I do not support a global economy, nor do I support the existence of international corporations.
