Progressivism is not what liberals in the USA think it is. They have combined liberalism with progressivism.

Progressivism is strictly an economic policy. It has nothing to do with political ideology. It is simply another word for a mixed economy. In other words, the government uses the taxes that people pay in order to level the playing fields and make essential services available to the people. That is all it is.

I am definitely a progressive. However, I am not a liberal.
