Please forgive me - it's 85 sharia areas - not 83. My memory did not serve me well. In addition, I got some of my data from Rupert Lowe, a British member of parliament.

It's irrelevant is they say that it's only for family matters - divorce, marriage, etc. In the UK, those laws are intended to be conducted by the law of the country, not a religious court.

Are you also okay with blasphemy laws? So you're okay with secular people, or people of other religions, not being allowed to criticize Islam? If you are, then you stand against western secular societies. That's because in secular societies, we are allowed to have opinions, and we do not have laws about blasphemy.

I am not confused about 'Muslim laws,; and until you know exactly what I know, that's an assumption.

I am, however, confused as to why you would tell me I'm confused when Sharia councils in Islamic countries do a lot more than be 'used for personal and family matters.' Isn't it just a matter of time before those courts in the UK decide on other matters as well? Or am I not allowed to have that opinion as well?

You are correct - the exact number of mosques in the UK is not known. Also counted in this figure (I assume) are prayer rooms, etc. They shouldn't have been. I stand corrected. To quote Reuters, "Its data shows there are 1,858 mosques, with the remainder made up of prayer rooms, hired halls, chaplaincies and temporary spaces. In written evidence for the House of Lords Select Committee on Public Services in 2020, the Muslim Council of Britain said there were 1,200 mosques , opens new tab."

You do realize that on Medium, virtually all of it comprises opinion pieces, don't you? I write my opinions. So do most writers. I am not a reporter working for a newspaper. It is only reporters who write objective narrative with no opinion inserted.

So, yes, it is my opinion, that when people are actively praying in the street (not because their place of worship is overflowing), that it is an act of resistance and dominance. You don't have to agree with that.

My opinion is based on the following:

1. I have read the Koran.

2. In Africa, there are 9 countries currently being attacked by Jihadi in order to convert them to Islam.

3. I have attended serves in mosques and listened to countless imams saying that the world will be Islamic by 2050, and that the way to do that is by infiltrating countries, having as many children as possible, applying for public office in order to influence laws, and 'jihad,'

4. I first became aware of this in the early 80s when I came across Islamic literature in Africa. I next encountered a Jihadi in London when he tried to throw me out of a window. I have worked for Lebanese Christians and heard their stories, and have had religious Muslims as clients, so I do know something of the culture.

Of course, my opinion could be wrong. So can yours.

Lastly, your statement, "The claims in the statement are either inaccurate or reflect subjective interpretations rather than objective fac ts. Public discourse on such topics benefits from nuanced understanding and evidence-based discussion to avoid perpetuating stereotypes or misinformation."

Spare me your naivety. My conclusions are based on 45 years of observation, assessment, and interaction. Also, I'm not here to foster discussion. I'm here to write my opinion - two very different things.
