For 1300 years, the majority population was Jewish. Then in 400 AD, it became Christians. Then, for a while, it was everybody. Then in 1200 AD, it became the Muslims. The land, itself, has been conquered, over and over again, and it was owned by the Ottoman Empire (Turkish) from 1400 AD to the early part of the 20th century when it was conquered by a combination of nations - British Empire, France, Russia, etc.
From the early 20th century, it was under mandate of the British Empire. Politics, being politics, the Brits, in order to get their way in certain things, promised the land (secretly) to both the Jews and the Muslims. Tensions built. In 1947, the British Empire left, and the Jews and the Muslims fought it out. The Jews won.
Throughout history, land has belonged to the those who either conquered it or who settled on it.
Who does America belong to? Do you suggest that 330 million Americans leave America because the Native Americans lived there first? Do you suggest that the African Americans go back to Africa?
As a result of 2000 years of persecution by Christians, Jews started making their way to Palestine (it was, after all, their land, first), in about 1850. They bought and paid for the land. The nomads living on the land didn't like it, and skirmishes broke out from the beginning. The land was very sparsely populated.
As you are a reader, I expect you to check all these figures.
Also check how many people were killed when they invaded and took India? I believe the figure is about 80 million Hindus. History if fascinating.
Compare all of that with Christian missionary history - the crusades, the conquest of South America, etc. Think about the many inquisitions, including the Spanish inquisitions, and then admit that religion is a powerful motivator of war.
You might also look into the history of the Muslim Empire, plus read the Koran. It has a huge bearing on what is happening around the world today. The mandate is to conquer the entire world for Allah. It is why every country in the world where there are sizeable populations have violence and bombing.
Poland has refused to have Muslims enter. I find it interesting that not a single reference to the Uygurs in China says that they are Muslims. I saw a video of recent French Imam say that the end is the same - that all of France will be Muslim. In the video below, the founder of Hamas says that the goal is to flatten Israel, and then to take the world for Allah.
Israelis took a barren, semi-arid land and built a flourishing land. They turned desert into farmland. They built salination plants. Per capita, they have more inventions and discoveries than any other people on earth.
Palestinians (and fundamentalist Muslims) have spent a century in violence. Right now, there are Muslims all over the world celebrating the barbarism and savagery of their attacks on Israel. Do you condone that? Do you think it acceptable because they claim the land for their own, despite the fact that it was owned by the Turkish Empire until the early 20th century? (Ottoman Empire).
There are about 7 or 8 million Israelis in Israel. Are you okay with them being liquidated by all the Muslims in the Middle East? Do you find this acceptable? Are you okay with the way Islam treats women? Are you okay with the way they murdered Jamal Khashoggi? Do you think it's okay that Ai Quaida bombed the Twin Towers? Do you think all the suicide bombings in France are okay? Are you okay with the Taliban? Where do you want to draw the line?
I believe it is a terrible situation, but I am also a realist, and if someone is going to win the war, I would prefer for a modern, secular nation to win it. I do not want to live in a world where I, a woman, have to wear shitty clothing, cover my face, and submit to men. I'm a hardcore atheist multi-national, and right now, I think that atrocities, no matter who they are committed by, are evil.
And if you have to give the land back to who previously owned it, don't you think that it should go back to Turkey (the Ottoman Empire) who owned it for 600 years or the Jews who were the majority occupiers for 1300 years?
