People aren't scared of Donald Trump, Bebe. The man is an idiot. They are scared that because he is an idiot, and because he is mentally unstable, without any sense of morality, he will further destabilize the world and sell it out to those who have very different values than the civilized world.

Perhaps, in the States, there are people who suffer from paranoia. However, I'm not American, and I don't read the American media. I read the press from multiple countries around the world, and I see and hear what he says. My assessment is based on that.
