Paavo, I don't have a laptop with me, and I would like to go into detail on this. Thank you for taking the time to go into detail with this. I appreciate it.

I will be home within the next 24 hours, and then I will respond in more detail. For now, two points.

Yes, the West Bank is a can of worms.

Secondly, a brief statement about white phosporus.

The first news source that I opened 'with video' says "Video footage circulated online appears to show Israel's use of white phosphorus munitions in Lebanon."

In journalistic speak, the 'appears to' means:

"We are covering our asses because
a) it could be a couple of things and we don't want to be sued b) it's a good story and it will get us readers, but we have to be careful of what we say c) if we say it's a video circulating on line, and we don't say that we suspect the source is devious, then we are covered."

As a journalist who learnt more from my late father when as a Jew he had to write under Nazi regime, I learnt more about this than at journalism school!

I am, however, going to dig deep on this. I seriously doubt that Israel will break the Geneva convention that openly. They will cover their asses six times over. They are not stupid. :)

Will get back to you when I'm back home.
