One of the ways I've managed this is that I have many different qualifications.

Casino dealer

Web designer

Writer

Author

Editor

Programmer

Sales Rep B2B

Interior Designer

Fashion Designer

Head Hunter

Administrator

And more.

I was always willing to change jobs.

Have you ever thought of doing one of the Google UX courses. They are paid well, and wanted internationally.

Next, I take it you're American. Do you have any other way of getting another passport.

How about Estonian? If you can somehow figure out how to earn online, you can live in Estonia.

Estonia is part of the EU, so once you're there, that will open doors. You might have to live there 5 years in order to get citizenship, but once you have citizenship, you then have the right to live in 29 or 36 other countries.

The one thing you have to remember is that because people like you and I do not have $100,000, we have to find other ways of doing things.

Right now, I arrived in Lisbon last week. I have to get a tax number, can live here 10 years tax free provided my income is made via royalties (which it is) (there are other fields that qualify as well), and I don't have sufficient moneyt to afford a flat. But I'm working on it.

So you have to decide where you are going to compromise. Will you go out and learn a skill that is more likely to get you out of the country? Can you set up an online business?

Let me know.
