One of the many things that surprised me when I immigrated to America was the lack of good public transport. Living in San Diego, it took forever to get to La Jolla from Hillcreat. In London, I could have been to Surrey and back by that time.

I eventually went back to Europe. I'm afraid I can't stand cars.
