On the contrary, in Africa, we live with rape every single day. We don't have a BLIND culture to what is going on around us. So, sorry, it appears that only in your culture do you need a movie to actually be aware of these things.

In my South African culture, I live in the rape capital of the world We see two year old babies raped because some men think that if they rape a baby, they will be cured of AIDS or HIV.

I am aware, educated, highly experienced, have lived globally, know exactly what goes on in the world around me, and I do NOT need to see a movie to tell me about it. I go to see movies to escape from reality.

Reality is harsh, and only people who live in bubbles are unaware of it.

Read a bloody newspaper. Here's one.
