Okay, I see your point. I didn't know if you were fmiliar with the work of Hannah Arendt, and in the essay she wrote about this guy, she mentioned that he was not an evil person, that he was simply doing his job.

I didn't know if you were familiar with the essay but the point was relevant - that people buy and sell art (which has little intrinsic value) for perceived amounts as a future investment - while many people in the world are living in dire circumstances and our planet is ddying.
