Oh, fuck America and the American consitution. I'm talking about your assertion that America is a Republic and, therefore, it cannot be a democracy. I am not American, and I no longer live in America. And America is only one of 196 countries in the world. Everything is NOT about America. We are talking about your sentence that because America is a republic, it is not a democracy.

Of the 196 countries in the world, 159 are republcs. The world "Republic' simply means it does NOT HAVE A KING OR QUEEN. IT IS NOT A MONARCHY.

Most countries have representative democracies to various degrees. If people can vote, it's a democracy. It doesn't matter if the country is a monarchy (as is the UK) or a Republic.

If you're resistant to going to a history class or a political class to understand what the word 'Republic' means, try an English dictionary.

"a state in which supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives, and which has an elected or nominated president rather than a monarch."

"a country that is governed by elected representatives and by an elected leader (such as a president) rather than by a king or queen"

"If you live in a republic, then you live in a country with a leader freely and democratically elected by the people, as opposed to a dictatorship or monarchy."

Get an education, and stop fucking believing the bullshit that some ignorant Americans sprout.
