Not that I am part of the LGBTQ community, but I have never been able to take anything seriously that anyone said to me on a dating website. Perhaps my decades writing on the web has accustomed me to people's behaviour.

To me, being ghosted is an easy fix to deciding whether one wants to see someone again. Obviously, if they ghost you, then one doesn't have to waste energy deciding on that.
