Not much. Didn't like his music. Did nothing for me. He didn't particularly have a good voice. And his music was the sort that has already been forgotten. Elvis, Beethoven, and Paverotti live on.

As for him winning the Nobel prize in liberature, the people who are on the literature board have all been accused of corruption, etc. The process for selecting people is by asking other people. They are a group of old men without any taste in anything. When you understand the process and what is going on, you'll understand why they choose such shitty storytellers.
Publishers who specialize in literary fiction are slowly going out of business. What universities have insisted on chucking down the throat of students for the past 70 or 80 years is part of modernism, and I, for one, think modernism is ugly, barren, and lacks any sort of talent or soul. It certainly lacks brilliance.
It always amuses me that everybody talks about independent thinkers - about critical thinking - but when someone dares to shoot down holy cows, the establishment goes wild.
