Nope, it continues to grow for the same reason that fake news continues to grow in the USA. Americans are a very strange bunch of people in that they want to be constantly validated, and the way they do that is by reading what they want to read, what confirms their own biases.

This is one of the reasons, I read all sides from many different countries. When the same thing is painted in many different ways, eventually a more real perspective comes into sight.
