I think then that the best path for you then is to befriend the writing community on Medium. I dont belong to it.

My purpose here is to earn a living, and I have no interest in being a contributor to a community of writers. I write to be read by people who are more readers than writers. ;)

I'm a newbie as well. I've been here just under a year and a half, and I haven't followed anyone's advice on this site. I simply did what has worked for me for my 60 year writing career and my 22 years of writing on the web.

Some of it I got wrong, but that's alright. Working on the web means that there are constant changes, and one has to adapt.
