No Jew will accept someone as Jew unless their mother is Jewish. If you join a synagogue, you have to prove you are Jewish. If you want to Aliyah to Israel, you also have to prove you are Jewish.

So good luck with saying you are Jewish if you don't have Jewish mother or spent the two years converting.
