No, it actually isn't. That is why 'real readers' are leaving Medium in droves.

I seriously considered giving up my subscription on Medium last year because there is so much rubbish now on this platform.

'Real writers' are thinkers. They analyze society and provide new insights. They provide an accurate outline of what has happened and is happening in the world (news). They write entertaining fiction. And, lastly, the provide records of the knowledge we have - text books.

This is what Ev Williams said when he launched Medium in 2012. And, for a number of years, Medium was just that. Now it comprises a load marketers trying to sell their courses and people who have bougth into the idea that one can learn to write....
