No, I actually wasn't like this. When I told an adult someone was mean to me, I was told it was my imagination. By my mid-40s, I had read some 600 self-helo and psychology books. Not one if them mentioned any of this.
When I went to therapists to ask why people dud and said certain things to me -on three continents - there was silence. Not a single one of them explained any of this to me.
The focus was always on me - what did I do. How did I feel. The result now is I loathe all these self-help gurus and coaches. They can't bring themselves to admit that there are horrible people if all ages.

You show me one article ir one college course that tells you how horrible people are at work, or how most people hate work. On the contrary, there are a thousand books about how one must be positive, about how the law of attraction works, about how one must be empathetic, etc. The list is endless.
