My personal opinion is that the party on the America left is now more dangerous than the party on the American right. In the UK, I believe the country is on its last legs, and that the country will soon be overwhelmed by liberal and conservative stupidity.

A while ago, before Musk took over Twitter, I noticed the depth of hatred amongst liberals/progressives on that platform. I also noticed the rampant stupidity. I started questioning their sanity, and started googling it. Yup. there is much more insanity (mental illness) on the left.

I wrote an article about the degree to which mental illness was affecting American democracy/politics some years ago. It was picked up by someone in the administration, and he told me that he had been warning about it for years. Nobody is listening.

The last time I voted was in Scotland. While I've lived in six countries since I've left the States states, and I was able to legally vote in three of them, I have abstained from doing so. I will now register to vote for the next EU elections - not voting in Ireland, they've lost their marbles, or maybe they never had them. I cannot bring myself to vote for the 'lesser,' because I don't think it's the lesser anymore. I think that people just can't project the outcomes of either party into the future.
