Most of the article wasn't about jokes. I seldom find jokes funny. I find absurdity in the events happening around me funny. I was curious to know why I 'don't get jokes.'

The first joke was stupid. I gave it 1. The second joke wasn't funny at all. The kid might have had a problem with self-esteem, and that would have pushed him down even further.

Yet in every single job I've ever had, I've been, if not the top performer, one of the top performers.I have always been extremely competent.

I find jokes mostly mean spirited at someone else's expense.
