Mike. this is not genocide. This is Israel attempting to destroy Hamas, a terrorist group, and Gazans (not the Palestinians in Golam Heights and the West Bank) being purposely killed.
The dictionary defines genocide as "the deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group."
Israel is not setting out to kill Palestinians. If they were, they would be killing them on the West Bank as well as in the Golam Heights. That is not what is happening.
They have also repeatedly warned Gazans, i.e. the people in Gaza (not the entire Palestinian population) where they are going to bomb, and they have asked them to remove. The Palestinian Authority has asked them to stay. Why? Precisely so that they are killed and the west can be horrified and accuse Israel of retaliatory attack.
This is a media war that Israel is fighting, and make no mistake I am no supporter of Israeli policies. I was attacked by Jews and Israelis when I wrote this.
Right now, every review I have ever written on Google Maps is being automatically removed. Someone at Google, probably a Muslim, is 'automatically' removing my reviews.
This is the United Nations definition of genocide, "The definition contained in Article II of the Convention describes genocide as a crime committed with the intent to destroy a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, in whole or in part."
Israel is NOT attempting to wipe out Palestinians. It is attempting to wipe out Hamas, and it is doing so in a manner that is frightening for its viciousness.
I have watched media manipulators manipulate language for the past decade, and it probably started sooner than that.
I have always seen trends before they become full blown. Right now, I see an attack on the secular west, and liberals and progressives have bought into it. They are destroying the foundations on which their civilizations were built.
In 1933, my late father was removed from the Berlin law courts for being Jewish. He joined a Jewish newspaper as his second degree was in journalism. On the day he joined the newspaper, his editor was arrested, and he became the editor until he could hire someone qualified in that place.
For the next three years, every piece that was published by the newspaper first had to be submitted to the Gestapo before they could print it.
The newspaper tried to warn the Jews what was happening. They didn't believe it. They said, "We are Germans first - then Jews." My father tried to get his family out. He eventually got his mother and father out in 1938/39. His sister and her husband refused - they said there was nothing happening. They died in Auschwitz.
In 1936, while my late father was on vacation in Switzerland, his mother sent a telegram not to come back - that the Gestapo had come for him. They shut down the newspaper and put everybody in Auschwitz.
There is a saying that Jews act like canaries in a coal mine. When they start leaving a country, you know things aren't going well. The Jews who could started leaving South Africa a long time ago.
Right now, Israel is a canary to the rest of the world. When Israel is finally destroyed, it will be the rest of us.
70% of Gazans support Hamas. There was joyous celebration in the streets about what Hamas had done to Israel.

I speak for israel, Mike - despite my disagreement of their policies. I also don't see any other way. No one is taking the Islamic death cults seriously. They don't see the indoctrination of the people. I've read the Koran. I know where it is coming from.
Right now, America is fighting a religious war as well. They're sneaky. They took the minor positions of power, and then they gerrymandered the voting population. And, now, there is a good chance that Trump gets the presidency again. I hope to hell not, but I'm glad I'm not there anymore.
I do not attempt to change your mind, Mike. I just want you to know that I think you're wrong in this instance, and it might not matter to you at all that I think you're wrong. You obviously think I'm wrong. I think we're both mature enough to accept that we will differ on some things.
