Marco, every writing site has a place where writers can see how many people are reading their stuff, what the earnings are, what are duds, etc. It gives us information about what articles are doing well, where we can improve, what we have to drop, etc.

Even with these statistics, it's difficult to know what we are going to earn month end. When you are like me, where every penny counts, and where you're trying to figure out how much you dare to commit to for rent (and that has to be the very lowesst available), it's stressful when additional information is given that impacts on your ability to figure out earnings.

Many people today write because they want attention, and no doubt, they will be very pleased to see that their comments are read. For me, one of the great pleasures about being able to read other people's writing and commenting is that over the years, those people with whom I have interacted frequently have become friends. Thus people I met 10 years ago on Google Plus, while the platform has been gone for more than a year now, we're still talking on Medium, Facebook, Twitter, etc. One forms bonds through conversation.

I can easily comment 30 or 40 times each day, and now that is screwing up my ability to read my real figures. It just upsets me. Probably because I'm austistic and my brain works on detail and struggles with excess information.
