Many years ago, I overheard a Rabbi talking to someone. The rabbi said that one needed a certain level of intelligence to be able to work out what was ethical and what was not.

A therapist also once told me that a book had been written that showed exceptional intelligence was a vital component of figuring out morality.

That said, from the sense of your piece, you assume morality to be to do with Christian values. That's not really what morality is. Morality, I suppose, is one's personal sexual code.

Ethics have to do with the impact one's actions have on the community.

I most certainly did not party when I was young, and I'm an old women now. I can give you a hint, though. People who are immoral when they are young, are just as immoral when they are old.
