Many Conservatives, especially Trump supporters, do have a Fascist mindset. They just don't appear to know that. However, I also appreciate that not all conservatives are Trump supporteres. Mitt Romney is a case in point.

However, when Mitt was approached about how difficult it was to make a living by young people, he responded that they must just ask their parents for a few hundred thousand or a million so that they could start a business.

He was completely out of touch with reality.

Yes, I'm sure you served in the military to oppose communism and oppression. And did it ever occur to you that you were interfering in the sovereignty of other countries. And that America has destabilized the entire world with her constant wars? And that the rest of us (I'm not American) have had more than a gutful of American wars.

A few years ago, the Pentagon asked the UK for airspace if they had to go into Iran. The UK bluntly refused. The entire world was against going into Iraq, and it was very much against public opinion that the powers that be accompanied America. Parliament voted no. Tony Blair, the PM of the UK said yes. He lost his premiership at the next election. The UK will never forgive him.

America did NOT go into Iraq to eradicate communism and oppression. They went in because there was oil. America never ever gave two thoughts about dethroning Mugabe in Zimbabwe despite the terrible oppression. But, of course, there was no oil.

In any event, here are my reasons why I have nothing in common with conservatives. It is that conservatism is not a fit political ideology for the 21st century.
