Just read it. Firstly, human beings are a herd species. Ninety-five percent of us are followers. We look to leaders to make decisions for us. Leaders (the biological ones) respond less to emotion and more to intellect. One shouldn't be making decisions based on emotions (fear) but on intellect.
So the premise of the article, that human beings aren't panicking because they aren't feeling ear is faulty. Essentially, human beings aren't making a decision about it because they are ill informed on multiple issues, and they are voting for stupid leaders because of that.
Americans, particularly, are about the most brainwashed people on earth. They are exposed to thousands of advertisements each day, and these advertisements tell them to buy, buy, and buy. That's where their attention is. There are cerainly an increasing number of news articles in the media, but not the type that would motivate action.
It hasn't helped that the effects of climate change haven't been explained.
